This adorable boy is Papacito. Unfortunately he was another victim of irresponsible pet ownership. He was found by one of our staff members in a box in front of a dumpster next to Papacito's in Greenpoint. There was a bag next to the carrier with cold cuts, some dry food, a rabies tag, a little money and a note describing his demeanor and health. This sweet cat deserved better than to be deposited on the street but now he's safe here with us. Can you open your home to a poor, abandoned boy?

Oh Foster, you are indeed a cutie! Foster is an adult male Shih-Tzu, perhaps 5 years old. He comes to us from NY ACC and yes, he enjoys his grass time, especially with his new Summer cut. Unfortunately, Foster has fear issues with people, especially when hands are in his face or he thinks someone is trying to grab him. The little man needs an experienced caretaker with lots of love and patience. We think that Foster can live happily in a home where strangers are infrequent and one that he feels safe and secure. We would caution against children though. Foster does well with most other dogs.
